We had a great camping trip to Shakespear Regional Park. It is a beautiful spot at the end of a peninsula about 45 minutes north of home. It was pretty windy, and after we had set up our tent and unpacked we realised we had chosen a spot in a natural wind tunnel. We un-pitched (can't think of the word I need) the tent and moved to a much better spot, sheltered on 3 sides. Finally comfortable, we got down to the serious business of midnight feasting (which in this case was more a case of sunset feasting, as we couldn't wait).
The Bamboo Grovers are an Aussie family who live in New Zealand. The following is a reverse chronological sampling of their memories-in-the-making.
