We had a cultural night at church, where everyone created a display of their home countries, and made food, sang songs, etc. This is our Australian display. And Adam and his friend, Thomas at the Vietnamese display. It was a great evening, and the Aussie kids held a Waltzing Matilda sing-a-long, acting out the story as the song went along. Probably quite mystifying for everyone not familiar with the song, as Josie, dressed as a sheep, got shoved in a big rubbish bag, struggling in time to the music. The Bamboo Grovers are an Aussie family who live in New Zealand. The following is a reverse chronological sampling of their memories-in-the-making.

Happy Birthday, Rich!
This is the view from my spot at the dinner table each night. I am so grateful to be married to Rich and for our family. Note the Buzz Lightyear suit has resurfaced after all these years!
Happy Birthday, Grace!
