Cultural night

We had a cultural night at church, where everyone created a display of their home countries, and made food, sang songs, etc. This is our Australian display. And Adam and his friend, Thomas at the Vietnamese display. It was a great evening, and the Aussie kids held a Waltzing Matilda sing-a-long, acting out the story as the song went along. Probably quite mystifying for everyone not familiar with the song, as Josie, dressed as a sheep, got shoved in a big rubbish bag, struggling in time to the music.

Impact Project

Charlie and his friend, Dylan, were selected to be part of the school's Excellence Awards for their project involving designing a chess set and making it on a 3D printer. Charlie's other project, a children's book about Greek myths was also selected. It was a very inspiring night.

Spring is here!

The Exploratorium

I went with Adam's class on a visit to the Exploratorium. It was a really fantastic.

Happy Birthday, Rich!

This is the view from my spot at the dinner table each night. I am so grateful to be married to Rich and for our family. Note the Buzz Lightyear suit has resurfaced after all these years!

Happy Birthday, Grace!

Grace turned thirteen. She had a lovely party at home with her friends, playing mafia and holding a trivia competition. In one of those moments that give you goosebumps, all of her friends spontaneously burst in to the song, "Amazing Grace" while she was opening her presents. She really is amazing.
