Our friend, Paul Conroy, took this photo.

Moustache
Rich helped Charlie out with a film studies assignment, playing the role of Trevor, long-lost brother to Benedict Cumberbatch. Charlie's box of emergency moustaches came in handy.

Commonwealth Games
Adam's friends from church got together for the Commonwealth Games and did some high jump, some shot put, some long and high jump, and some running races. Great time had by all.
Grace is 11!
Happy birthday to our lovely daughter and sister, Grace! We had a cake to celebrate on the day and then a party on the following Saturday. We took some of Grace's friends to play some laser tag, then brought them home for some lunch and a play. Everyone had a blast.
Sickies
We had a day with Jane and Grace home from school with a cold. It was a glorious day so we dragged some mattresses on to the deck and lay out there to soak up some sun.

On the big chair
Adam went to play with his friend and found this whopping chair in her lounge room. Her dad works with furniture. We have heard the story of this chair many, many times. How they sat on it, climbed down, climbed up, and sat on it some more.

And Charlie is 14!
Happy Birthday, Charles! We have had this date circled on our calendar for years. 14 is the official babysitting age in NZ. Also, of course, we feel blessed by the 14 years of joy and fulfillment our wonderful boy brings to our lives. But our new-found freedom is (as they say in New Zealand) sweet as.
Jane is 9!
Jane and some friends went to the movies to celebrate her 9th birthday. It was the perfect day to be inside, wild and windy and wet. We all had a great time. Happy Birthday, beautiful girl.

Spelling Bee
Grace had a great time last night at a Spelling Bee held at Charlie's school. It was a fantastic event, and very compelling to watch. Pity that Charlie chose to photo-bomb the only picture I have of the night. Naughty.
